Bison had his surgery as scheduled on Monday October 29. His entire bladder was full of stones like gravel. He's recovering at our house and slowly becoming more active and energetic each day. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for your purchases and donations! Because of your help we were able to go ahead with the surgery 3 days after he was diagnosed, instead of waiting until we could afford it.

Although diet is not the ONLY cause of bladder stones, the Vet told us that another cat had the same problem on the same diet we feed our cats: Purina Indoor Formula (in the light green bag). It's under $10.00 for a 20-pound bag.

So Bison (and our other 2 cats, Lady and Phoebe) are going to be put on a prescription diet to help dissolve any crystals that may be in Lady and Phoebe's bladders and prevent this expensive and painful surgery for them.
